I got the impression from his story that the shaman helped him to understand his identity: “she did, however, teach me two important lessons: firstly, a tiger cannot change its stripes”…
You could argue that the first lesson was unwilling, accidental, on the part of the shaman, but considering the nature of the second lesson and the fact that she must have willingly taught him that, I’d rather think otherwise.
