Looks like Teal missed that left turn in Albuquerque.
I clearly did not expect this.
So Grayside is the world Teal was sent to? World lower than the underworld? Checks out, I guess.
I mean… compared to a wondrous magic fantasy world, our world may as well be the underworld.
In No. 336, Teal, before taking her departure, says “The All-Mother told me that I have to follow the bad guy back to where he came from.”
and in 333, we had
“The Master’s not coming back, is he?”
“No… He’s gone away to the land of gray.”
Assuming that the Master is the bad guy, I think we have some hints about what’s going on here.
But who in the land of gray is the inverse avatar of the Master?
The… floor vents? Where do they even go to?
They’re normally an exhaust vent in HVAC systems. See the illustration in http://www.volko.com/ductcleaning.htm
Here, well, apparently a portal or outlet thereof.
HVAC system, central air/heat style. Either output from that, or the returns, depending on how things are setup.
Heating system as an alternative to radiators, i’d guess.
It’s odd to me that so many people have never had a central AC system. Florida is literally unlivable without one lol

Has somebody been watching “The Blob”?
Or that movie about that deadly swimming hole
Ooo, haven’t seen Teal in far too long
I’ve had dreams similar to the one below the comic. Some of them were fun, some scary, but I imagine both would by far beat what Brian’s currently experiencing, even if it were a dream.
Brain tired, looking at this page again, thought it said ‘Gay Spiders’ at the top
I wonder if a dehumidifier would dry up that glowy goop…
Wellp, looks to me like you need a new sump-pump…
