There are languages in which the word for tesicles is “eggs”. And while I can attest for only one such language, undoubtedly the “and then he smashed the dragon’s eggs!.. no-no, the other kind of dragon eggs” joke has to exist (and be quite a trope on its own) in other such languages as well.
While I don’t know all languages obviously, I’m pretty sure that there is always “technical” terms for testicles which is longer and unique, while “eggs” would be less formal terms similar to english “balls”. The joke can still works, of course.
I can testify of at least two languages (Spanish an German) where “balls” and “eggs” are used indistinctly. In fact, “balls” seems to be the *other* word for them in EVERY language. The English-exclusive one is “nuts”, to my limited knowledge.

My point was that there is technical term – in German it seems to be Hoden although Testikel also means something, in Spanish it’s Testículo – which does NOT mean anything else.

Hoden is not a technical termn. It’s the equivalent to the Spanish cojones, which you may be famikliar with. Testes, testikles, testiculos, etc… all are Latin loanwords of testiculus – which itself, being a diminutive of “testis”, legal termn for a third party in a lawsuit, WAS most definitely a crude joke word.
