Yes, young Hearth Maiden, we can not save everyone, but as long as we are still here, we can save those who remain and who are in need of our help
There is time for mourning, but that time is not this time
No, we can save everyone from such sad and painful deaths. For we can enjoy the true bliss of being devoured by the Great Devourer! If we all do that, there will be no one needing our help, and no mourning either!
I dunno, even in worlds where Gods have not had physical evidence of their existence (either currently or in the past), some people going full atheist do not end up with the healthiest of mindsets.
Might want to hold off on angrily shouting your renouncement of all things deity-related until you at least see what your dead fellow practitioner left for you.
It’s *self-professed* atheists that openly hate all religions that I find to be in the worst behavior. These are people who are NOT really atheists. If they don’t believe in any kind of god then there would be nothing but indifference for religions…To hate something means that you have enough belief in its existence to feel strongly about it.
There *is* a difference between hatred of gods and a hatred of religious institutions that push people to do really terrible things. The first is not an atheist. The second absolutely can be.
She’s got a point. The whole point of serving the gods is that they’re supposed to keep their promises to protect and aid humanity. If prayers go unanswered, then there’s no point in serving them.

She’s right. Abandon your useless faith and everything will become so much clearer and simpler.

Indeed, Miko, the gods are dead and powerless… even in Fantasyland apparently.
In our world (Grayzone?), Nietzsche proclaimed it was “man” who killed God, in Fantasyland it was almost certainly a dragon who did.
Faith is what sustains us when all else is lost
I thought that was tea and toast?
