I love the banter between these two. Finch/Flynn will never get one over Paige. They are perfect for each other (as long as he gets his missing bits back!!) Great dialogue. Again, one of the joys of “Delve” (after the art and complexity of the plot), are the wonderful characters.
Incidentally… Paige seems unhapy with one boob well supported and another one ready to flop out. Trust me, not a comfortable thing. Maybe she should reach into that magic bag for some sewing stuff 😉
Ha, ha, you two crack me up…”Is that sunset red?” “No, it’s a sunrise and orange.” “No, no, it’s a sunset and red.” “No, no, it’s…”
I’m with erana on this. Look at the previous episode, panel 2. Paige is already shown playing with the broken strap. Also, less Finch ‘creeping her out’ (or only briefly with mandrake/root thing), more annoying her, but, yes, her ears are extremely expressive. But on that note, Mr Hunter is quietly brilliant at evoking facial expressions from the simplest lines. In the middle two panels she has her arms crossed, so still kind of supporting her boobs, but, of course, also a very female gesture, she’s also ‘cross’ emotionally.
So who is Paige ‘scared’ of? Not Finch. Verbally and psychologically she bests him every time. I would suggest she is more concerned or disturbed by the Root, rather than ‘scared’, so your idea of her hugging herself with fright really doesn’t stand up. In the end panels she is more annoyed by Finch’s apparent childishness, certainly not ‘scared’.
“Lying” is a very strong word. You obvious think in black or white. People (women are no exception) say things that don’t always mean the more obvious. Yes, he was freaking her out, as you rightly say “creeping her out”. NOTE the Root was supposedly forbidden in the Elf world, but she was not really scared ‘of’ him, as we have seen in previous examples in their relationship, he tries to be cynical or rather insular, and she sees through him. She might be scared ‘for’ him. He likes to play dangerous games, especially with poisons. Paige is always on top of their relationship, however.
Three feet on the cat. (I would mention Occam’s razor, but someone already took a razor to Paige’s shoulder strap.)
I take you’ve never worn a loose bra top with a single strap, gentlemen. No real need for other explanation. Trust me on that. My prefered way of dealing with one-shouldered clothing is… to not.
Yes, maybe not the most successful survival strategy. But it was only ‘big Orc’ who was torturing him, and later went zombie and started eating him instead.
I’m right there with you, Fynn. Nothing like a hooded cloak to make you feel like a villain.
That, or feel warm and dry under cool rain. Oh, wait. Clear skies in that scene. Nevermind. 🙂
Or in Bree’s case, the lack of clothes make the elf…
Actually lack of clothes can get boring since there is just so many views. I like Bree is costumes which are revealing.

Talking of which, where is Teal off to?
Incredible for him to be able to utter the line with a straight face before corpsing.
so sin root causes a zombie-like state
Thought they were already headed that way while they were chasing them
They were headed to REGULAR death. The mandra… err, the sin root headed them to UNdeath.
Incidentally… Paige seems unhapy with one boob well supported and another one ready to flop out. Trust me, not a comfortable thing. Maybe she should reach into that magic bag for some sewing stuff 😉
No, it was because Flynch was creeping her out, note how her ears drooped as well?
She was fine in the other three panels, and the last page

Most people, when scared, hold themselves (if they can’t get someone else to hold them)

So, she was lying when she said that he was scaring her?

At that moment he was scaring her, and she’s pissed in the last panel because he was just messing with her when she thought he was being serious
Also, the reason she adjusted her top last page was because she had just stretched and didn’t want anything to ‘pop out’
They forgot about torturing him, until they started eating him alive.

Wait. Elf ears are like dog ears? Who knew?
