Hopefully this guy can now fully enjoy the happy hunting grounds – https://thisis.delvecomic.com/NewWP/comic/severance-pay/

…but how? Did the whole blast just go strictly upwards, straight into the zenith?
Warmheart somehow deflected most of it (see the smoke on her wings).
Presumably dragons are fire-proof, at least to exterior flames or fire. Warmheart saves the wood-elves!
Dang, I don’t remember who “sings to foxes” is. Can anyone tell me how far back to look?
Check the first comment. His link goes to Sings to Foxes last appearance. He’s the shaman brother of Cherek.
Thanks. It was such a quick reference, I had forgotten it.
No, not of Cherek. Of Cherek’s former chief. Sings to Foxes was avenging his brother, whom the dragon killed.
I stand corrected.
Princess Warmheart has grown quite large quite rapidly in this current thread.
Queen Warmheart
And she got the growth spurt from that mindraper, she’s still not that much bigger than Breen
Thank you so much for your work from the Ru community!
That last panel is amazing, artistically, in depicting Bree, but also Bree at her very best, the true heroine, what makes her special and memorable, in carrying out her promise to the Orc shaman. Not exactly the end of the arc, I guess, still stuff to wrap up, Finch, Betrys, rebuilding Highbranch, etc., but a great sensational finale to the Big Bad Dragon. And Warmheart also the heroine, in using her external flame/blast resistant body as a shield for the wood-elf survivors. Next question, what about the Orcs? Can we expect Sark to reappear?
Warmheart learned that “revenge” (with air quotes) applied to people who are not those who wronged you is not revenge (WITHOUT air quotes), then learned that revenge (with or without quotes) leaves you hollow. She learned that at the cost of losing her will to live, then having her flame gland punctured, but that price bought her a new chance at living.
Warmhead learned then that standing to help out others in need (like, say, having had their flame gland punctured while having lost their will to live), even if those are an stranger to you, does NOT make you feel hollow. The price of that knowledge were the lifes of Tuul and Gaiian, and that price bought the life of another maid.
Warmhead then learned that when others clamor “Someone should do something”, there’s a kind who actually DOES something.
The one who faces danger
when the darkness hovers near.
Who will face the fiercest foe
when another needs his aid,
Who will dare to defy Death
event hough being afraid,
Who works not just for glory
and who does it not for gain,
But because knows that others
will be spared a greater pain.
The one who faces death
knowing that her life’s well spent.
Congratulations, Queen. You are the very first dragon HERO.
So much for a potentially interesting villain.
Yeah, I had more planned for him, but having him cheat his way out of this situation seemed like the kinda thing a bad DM would do to keep you from killing off their bad guy, and I’ve been on the receiving end of too many of those events.
