Ha, ha, well observed, Joker, maybe a quick work-out with crazy Imugi might get them cherries up again!
But, otherwise, that was something of a April Joke surprise. Imugi’s “Sephni? She’s fine,” is a bit off to discover that she too is turned to stone. I didn’t expect that. At first reflection, a sword against daggers is a bit unfair, but Markho did pick up a fallen sword he can donate, although where’s Moonblade and the girls when Bree needs them? Bah, bloody Morgana! Imugi seems to view everything in the Delve D&D world as a nail to be hammered, or a head to be chopped off. Maybe not a good strategy. So far, she seems to be unaware Bree’s youthful (unarmed) companion is a dragon. That might prove to be a mistake. She really isn’t very likeable.
Unfortunatley Bree being from the 90’s would have no idea about online gaming… Well, ok, there were online games but not really 24/7 MMORPGs run on servers and managed by admins and mods. It was generally LAN games with a host, or SOMETIMES a host would offer on some wider network that MIGHT be locked by password access or allow the host to kick people, but not much more than that.
Whatever the case, Bree would only be thinking in terms of DMs/GMs and her multiplayer, computer game knowledge might not be more than consoles with dual controllers and shared/split screen.
Whatever the case, Imugi seems to have rejected the fantasy world as a whole, views almost everyone in it as NPCs worthy of no emotional regard and Bree as only slightly higher regard as a fellow player but still one she’d happily kill, even if its to find out about respawn (which is arguably a thing considering Bree died by petrification and was respawned by the Dracomage, though that was before Jen joined her).
There were a number of MUDs (Multi User Dungeons) running during the 90s, some of which were essentially text based MMORPGs with permanent servers and mod teams. For example the Discworld MUD had been publicly accessible since 1992 and is still receiving regular updates to this day.
Go back to episode 541, where Prancy explains to Jane the reasons and ‘mechanics’ of the stonification of the High Elf lands. Sephni used the power of the High Elf throne to turn everyone to stone, as her (rather misguided) attempt to ‘protect’ them from harm. The only surprise was that she also turned herself to stone, but that, too, makes sense (by her logic), she also no longer is suffering from her memories. Prancy is quite explicit on that. Seph – High Elf throne. Capria was using Kindall (already driven near-insane by his own experiences after being swallowed by the Devourer) as a puppet to rule over the High Elves. Shadow Elves aren’t always the good guys. The only query I have is, Sephni having dispatched Kindall to the next world, what did they do to his body? If Bree doesn’t get too distracted fighting Imugi, it must be somewhere around, or near, the throne room.
How indeed? That is something the author alone fully knows, but we have been dipping in and out of the world of Phawkes, Prancy and Jane, episodes 198, 270, 400 (together with Incentive Art), which would seem to be another parallel universe, with felines and wererats (mostly to be either hunted or enslaved, plantation-style), seemingly much like our 19th century, I personally get a sort of Sherlock Holmes/Doctor Watson vibe, not sure why! Prancy discussing with his sister, what Jane calls “your salacious little penny dreadful”, was, I think, used (cleverly) by Andrew Hunter to help explain what was becoming a lot of loose story plot ends. In 541 he does explain the Sephni/throne room plot twist rather decisively. Do you doubt the author?
I really hope to see Imugi being decorporated by Bree over there, BUT i insanely ship the fusion between her and the sister of bree, both impulsives when they are upset, both willing to “take matters into their hands” with a sword; one big obstacle is their past: imugi is a murderer and the other a healer, but maybe it will help, having imugi who can make her powerfull enough to follow(because no one think she will stay in the palace without boiling inside, so she will probably gets rules done, and seek Bree whenever she can)andthe sister will help to heal imugi from the inside … That would be so cool
They should start arguing about real-world politics or religion, that will get a dev’s attention instantly.
Paradoxically, Bree seems to have calmed her tits in this page 8D
On a more serious note, not quite sure why Imugi thinks there is anyone who oversees the reality she’s in.
She thinks it’s a game.
More specifically, she seems to think it’s an MMO. Not a tabletop game.
The throne room is well-heated.
Ha, ha, nice one! So that was the problem. Not that we were complaining.
Sure, in desperate situation sending a messenger to higher powers always worked.

Why does the elf throne look like it has been build by Necrons?
Still holding hope that this stoner crap had nothing to do with either Seph or Cap

And… how would Prancy know any of this?

No, have never doubted the author, just have never liked it when characters have information that they should not have
Alright, I finally get it: “PVP action” katana in hand plus the previous “not even human, something even worse”. A fight shall ensue.
“Something even worse.” Hmm, let’s see. A brain upload?
I wish you updated your old vote incentives pages because if I miss an update or two I miss those artwork forever

What makes one a ‘murderer’ in a world of killing and death?
Is Breen a ‘murderer’ for the ones she has killed?
