I’m guessing here – we need to see how the others are garbed up – but could the green cloaks with the magic walkie-talkie button be some kind of protection to the BONGGGG!? Great panel though.
So maybe the elves started the war….Paige might be asking more questions….Who’s in charge if not Kindall?
At the rate things seem to be going downhill for the high elven kingdom, the defenders of this fortress are more rogue than the agents out doing bad things. The only difference is that they haven’t received their new orders to be evil yet. False Kindall may be false, but he’s still currently in the position of “guy who hands out orders”, and isn’t far off from what Real Kindall would have been ordering. (He was a pretty darn evil bastard too.)
Agree.
Though actually we are not so sure of the timeline. Kindall could put the orders before his ritual gone wrong.
Or, yes, he could escape as someone mentioned here. Capria is good but we don’t know her minions level of competence.
And we do know that the Wood Elf late king was quite a “nice” guy.

I got my bell, I’m gonna take you to hell
I’m gonna get you, Bree’ll get you
Hell’s Bells
So the bell is more AoE crowd control than AoE damage thing. I wonder how defenders are affected since they are closer to the source.
Sacred bell of saint bertilak, sacred enchantments only for enemies, blah-blah… >> https://thisis.delvecomic.com/NewWP/comic/the-bell/
The bell player probably only wears eargear for pure physical protection, otherwise they are already protected.
With ears like those, they need all the protection they can get around bells 😛

and of course the elves are the bad guys since he changed topics so quickly
I think it was probably some rogue agents until proven otherwise, or maybe it was ordered by false Kindall.

Fairly sure Kindall is dead, or at least wishing he was while in the Dark Elves delicate hands
Those orders and actions happened before Breen stopped the Devourer
