First rule of defending: never leave the defenses!
Stay behind the tanks and let the ranged pick them off before they get too close
AND ALWAYS TARGET THE FINGER-WRIGGLERS AND HEALERS!!!!!
It’s not so simple, because sitting behind defence means attacker has all the initiative, can setup the attack like he wants. Defenders sometimes better off to do quick hit and run when they see weaknesses in attacker. In this case the bridge is a choke point, in real life history a single viking apparently held off an army for a while in “battle of stamford bridge”, which gave time for rest of the defenders to organise a better defence.
The defender theory here would be to slow the advance over the bridge to give the ranged attackers more time to pick off the attackers, they did not know an attacker could fly past them.
The tanks are the ones with the shields, Tyra is not a tank, she should have done as you said: quick hit and run, only when there was an opening for a sneak attack, not have some greenie sneak up behind her
Ballbreaker doesn’t believe in gods, or at least, hopes they aren’t real, because the only thing that’s saving is pasty green arse is the fact they either don’t exist, or they don’t give a shit about him to stamp him out like the toxic virus he is
Oh the gods may actually be even more “toxic viruses” than he is (which is true in most of the D&D settings) and not only don’t see anything wrong with him but, in fact, explicitly approve of his actions.
Things are looking grim. It looks like Tyra and Pen might never have another breakfast.
It also looks like those fancy brooches are actually magic walkie-talkies, very handy.
well, lets hope they will learn the lesson here… never do genozide half-assed… make sure you finish your job, or stuff like this happens…
I’m fairly sure their goal was to make orcs retaliate. Whoever started this was clearly didn’t have elves’ best interests in mind.
That would have been Kindal, and I’m pretty sure that was exactly his plan.
That’s what Tyra said, but Kindall is supposed to serve a life sentence in drow’s dungeons. So until we know for sure, I’d go with a placeholder.
We don’t know when the fucker attacked the orcs
You think this is all recent?
The Valryns are in their element, they have defeated dragons and gorgons, even survived Daxxorel itself, what can go wrong?
Tyra’s expression tells me she forgot to turn the iron off this morning and she’s just realised that 🙁

Pour one out for Brother Pen, a true badass to the end. Even Cherek “I hate all elves” Stonebreaker had to respect that response.
