Mummius, who destroyed Corinth and turned Greece into a Roman province named Achaia (that’s how Romans spellt it, the English Achaea is from an (un)educated guess how it should have been properly spellt ?), was fittingly given agnomen Achaicus for those deeds, and his descendants inherited it. Is the scribe of the binding glyph related to him?
